At heart we are product designers — with a soft spot for simplicity and ease of use. We are
builders: we would rather build products and businesses than merely run them. We take an idea
and shape it into something tangible — quietly, carefully and with endurance.
Change isn't a risk to us — it is the starting point. The wheel of disruptive developments is
turning ever faster, and this is where we excel: realigning products, platforms and businesses
to new requirements.
We think holistically. Mechanics, technology, software and design belong together for us — and
we translate between these disciplines. We work with modern tools and approaches, understand
sourcing and production worldwide, and move confidently in international markets. We never see
product, brand and company in isolation, but as a whole — so an idea becomes something that
lasts.
From a trivet to quality software
At first glance our products have little to do with one another. The path from each to the next
explains why they are these ones.
The beginning. An everyday object taken once through the whole chain — design, tooling,
production, brand, distribution, and a licence for Europe and the USA. After that you
know what lies between a good drawing and an object someone buys.
The same chain, in software for the first time — development, review, release,
operation. A small tool, but the whole path in our own hands. And the proof that the
approach doesn't depend on the material.
Back to the physical: the craggles idea brought out again years later — with a second
function built into the same geometry. What you learn on the first run, you can put to
use on the second.
The current product. Process understanding from our own development work, experience
with regulated environments from our investments, built on established technology
rather than a store of our own.
Four products, one way of working: we build the whole chain ourselves — in whatever material
the problem happens to be in.
We hold stakes in accroma labtec Ltd. and athemi GmbH and work
on product and build-up in both — where developing a product and building a company are the same
craft.
